Furniture Designed by L+A international, l’assise Concorde is a sculpture as much as it is a piece of furniture. Made of only 2 pieces of 3mm folded aluminium sheets, Concorde is meant to co-exist with existing interiors (or not), it invites users to rediscover their personal space from a new and  more intimate altitude, reminiscent of the most primitive ways of sitting.

The proposed elevation offers a diversity of uses and aesthetics, while providing both physical and psychological comfort. Drawing on ancestral practices still alive among Mongolian, Maori, Bedouin, Japanese, and Navajo cultures, Concorde reconnects us to the ground in a way that fosters simplicity, balance, and conscious posture.

Its name, a nod to the legendary Concorde plane, reflects this idea of elevation, while the base subtly echoes the elegant, aerodynamic form of the aircraft’s reactor engine, anchoring the piece between earth and air.
